As you know, I have wondered many times in the past year or two if I would need to figure this out. I am in a time of interim right now and really have no guarantees about my future at my church. Who knows who we will hire and how that will work out? So I've wondered what else I would do or would even want to do. I have never had a "real" career other than being a mom and a minister. I don't know anything else. So I simply do not know. I don't even know how to wrap my mind around it with no experience or education to do anything else. I can think of a couple of interests I have but they ultimately are a form of ministry, just perhaps not in the local church: 1) I'd love to do retreats for leaders in the church. No, they don't think they need it, but you and I know they do! I'd like to be able to share what all I'm learning and minister to those that minister to the church. 2) I'd love to write a book. 3)I'd love to be involved in training other worship leaders around the world. OF course without being in a church myself I wonder how much I would have to offer. Secular jobs? I have no idea at all. None. Period. I think I have very few marketable skills and no degree. So.
