Paul, I am grateful to have found your site and value your insights. The pace of ministry is often what we press upon ourselves. It is also directly related to what we discern the expectations of others are. It is not always real but rather perceived. We are our worse enemy and we often blame the church, the denominational structure or the calling. It is us who are broken and fractured and who possess roles (pastors) who often have the most freedom with schedules and calendars then our counterparts in secular roles who must clock in at a certain time and cannot take their lap top to Starbucks. We are the problem.
Steve - long time pastor.
