Just called one of our Foursquare leaders and his voicemail said that he was on 'sabbatical' and would not return for awhile. When I added up the length of time it was going to be seven weeks. Great to see a leader in our denomination was given this much time off by superiors who are also leaders of our denomination. Paul, I think the 6 week on and one week off is a great deal. I am doing it more like 8 weeks, which for me is a start. Wayne Cordiero advocates 6 week and no more than 7 especially for multiple service pastors. I went some years with only being out of the 'pulpit' once or twice and that was for a guest speaker and I was still in the service. This is changing because of the influence of guys like you in my life who want to be pastors for life.
