I Am Second, Are You?

December 8, 2008

Have you seen the new website creeping up – iamsecond.com? It’s quite insightful.

Anyway, Pete Briscoe, Pastor of Bent Tree Fellowship in Texas, shares a bit of his testimony that I think is great for Pastors to hear. It’s only a few minutes, but may shake you deep inside.

    Praise the Lord Jesus Christ,

Thank you Pastor Wayne Cordeiro for being such an inspiration to many. I have loved your simplicity of the word of God for many years and it still astounds me that we have alot in common. For myself, it is letting go of being so obsessed with people pleasing that it has been my life journey to show myself approved my the word of God and his wisdom. He said in his word that we would be persecuted for righteousness sake and especially in this time and age it is very important for me to remind myself, that I can’t save the whole world; but that through Jesus Christ in me I can do all things through Christ who loves me and has given me a vision to serve him by serving others. I can understand being burnt out, its the same for me, when I’m out there in the mission fields helping others and it gets overwhelming and I struggle with “am I doing enough”. Do I have the passion of Christ in me to overcome all things through him?
I need to go in and through him as well as he goes in and through me, I realize that I appreciate men and women of God who give me the added strength, by sharing their heart felt struggles with myself and others of your love for Christ, who has stated in his word that he was tempted so he can succor them who are tempted also. As you go through your healing process and return to the ministry that the Lord God has ordained you and many others and continues to build up others for his glory. I thank him for all of you who stand at the fore front and share the good news of Jesus Christ with so many around the world and moves us into the passion of Christ Jesus.

    God Bless and keep you,
    Your Sister in Christ Jesus,
    Juanita L. Cabral

    Thank you for being Honest,
I thank you for your honesty and sharing your pride with others, that I do know every human being in this world struggles with our natural instincts for survival; whatever degree that may be. I am working on myself everyday and seeking my faith in Jesus Christ to help me overcome temptation, because he defeated temptation so that he could secure us, by telling us to rely on him and don’t beat yourselfs up if you fall short of the Glory of God, get up, dust off and move on for his glory and not ours. I do know that according to his word their will be many so called christians who will not enter into the kingdom of God, because of their “PRIDE’, they will say Lord, Lord, haven’t I rebuked demons in your name, haven’t I did this and that , and God will say, I never knew you enter into outer darkness, that’s “HELL’.
I remind myself of my motives and that I will be honest enough to dig deep and see the real deal.

Got something to say?
